Before you begin following these steps, you have to make sure your laptop charger is working perfectly. There's no point trying any of these methods if you have a bad laptop charger.
These methods below can be applied to Windows 7, 8, & 10.

If you have an older laptop, You can remove your battery from your laptop the old fashion way, but if you have a modern laptop that the battery is inbuilt, you will have to flip your laptop over, open your laptop with a screwdriver and then detach the battery cable.
Follow these steps to reset your dell battery
- Turn off your Dell laptop and disconnect your charger
- Remove your battery or detach your battery cable
- Now hold your power button for 30 to 40 seconds
- Connect your battery back into your dell laptop
- Connect your charger to your laptop
